01 · Pitch

20-second pitch

The Air SE is the simplified, pared-down sibling in Saramonic's Air line — smaller and lighter than the Air 02, with the receiver screen removed and no bundled wired lavalier mics, built specifically for smartphone-first creators. It splits into SE-01 (USB-C only) and SE-02 (USB-C plus Lightning). The trade-off versus the Air 02 is real: less monitoring, shorter range and battery life, and no camera-friendly 3.5mm input — in exchange for genuinely pocketable size and app-quantified noise cancellation modes.

Who is the customer?

Smartphone-first vloggers and beginners who prioritize pocketability Content creators who want app-based monitoring instead of a physical screen Buyers who want a smaller, simpler kit than the Air 02 and don't need a camera's 3.5mm input Customers who want quantified, adjustable noise-cancellation strength rather than a single fixed mode Anyone who wants the charging case to double as a handheld stick mic

02 · Specs

Five Air SE specs to memorize

  1. 2.4GHz wireless with a rated range up to 200m, though testing found roughly 100m of stable real-world range — treat the rated figure as best-case, same caveat as the rest of the Air line.
  2. 48kHz/24-bit audio with 80dB+ SNR and 120dB max SPL.
  3. Neural-network "Deep Learning" noise cancellation with quantified modes (about -15dB for indoor/weak mode, up to -40dB for a strong/harsh-environment mode) — more precisely specified than the Air 02's simple 2-level system.
  4. No screen at all — monitoring is app-based only, and there's no onboard backup recording and no 3.5mm lavalier input.
  5. 5g transmitters with a single magnet mount each (a real loss risk reviewers flagged), about 6 hours of transmitter battery (roughly 4.5 hours with noise cancellation on), and a charging case that extends total runtime to roughly 24–28 hours and doubles as a handheld stick mic. USB-C connects directly to phones (SE-02 adds a Lightning option for older iPhones).

03 · Signature feature

The feature that sells it: genuinely pocketable, with real noise-cancellation control

The Air SE strips the Air line down to its smallest, lightest form — 5g transmitters that disappear on a shirt collar, with a charging case that also works as a handheld stick mic. Its Deep Learning noise cancellation offers quantified strength levels rather than a single fixed mode, giving creators more control over how aggressively it cleans up a noisy environment.

What to say on the sales floor

Be upfront that this is the simplified sibling: no screen, no wired lav input, no 3.5mm camera output, and shorter range and battery life than the Air 02. The pitch here is size and smartphone-first simplicity, not maximum capability.

04 · Video

Video: Deep Learning noise cancellation modes

A demo video should play the same noisy clip with Deep Learning noise cancellation off, on weak mode, and on strong mode, so the customer can hear the quantified difference for themselves.

Practical starting settings

For the demo unit: record a short clip in a noisy area (or play background noise) and cycle through the noise-cancellation modes in the companion app while narrating what changes.

05 · Discovery & demo

Ten discovery questions

  1. Are you shooting primarily with a smartphone, or do you need a camera's 3.5mm input too?
  2. How important is pocket size and weight to you?
  3. Would you use app-based monitoring, or do you want a physical screen like the Air 02 has?
  4. Do you need a wired lavalier option, or is the transmitter's built-in mic enough?
  5. How noisy are your typical recording environments?
  6. Are you comparing this against the fuller-featured Air 02?
  7. Would the charging case doubling as a handheld stick mic be useful for your work?
  8. Do you have an iPhone that needs Lightning (SE-02) or is USB-C (SE-01) enough?
  9. How long are your typical recording sessions, given the shorter battery life with noise cancellation on?
  10. What's frustrating about your current smartphone audio setup, if you have one?

Five-minute sales-floor demo

  1. Show how small and light the transmitters are. Clip one onto a shirt collar and let the customer see how little it shows.Pocketability is the Air SE's core selling point.
  2. Cycle through Deep Learning noise-cancellation modes. Play a noisy sample through weak and strong NC modes in the app.Demonstrates quantified control that's more precise than the Air 02's simpler system.
  3. Show the charging case doubling as a handheld mic. Hold the case up to demonstrate its secondary use.A genuinely clever feature worth calling out explicitly.
  4. Connect directly to a phone via USB-C. Plug the receiver straight into a phone with no extra adapter.Shows the smartphone-first simplicity that differentiates this from camera-oriented kits.
  5. Be upfront about the single magnet mount. Show how the mount attaches and mention the loss-risk reviewers flagged.Prevents a customer from being surprised if a mic detaches unexpectedly.

06 · Objections

Common objections and answers

"Why would I pick this over the Air 02?"

If you're shooting primarily on a smartphone and want the smallest, lightest kit, the Air SE is the better fit. The Air 02 adds a monitoring screen, longer battery life, wired lav mics, and a 3.5mm camera input the Air SE doesn't have.

"Is the range really 200m?"

That's the rated best case. Testing found roughly 100m of stable real-world range, so plan for shorter practical distances, especially indoors or around obstructions.

"I'm worried about losing a transmitter — is that a real risk?"

It's a fair concern reviewers raised — each transmitter uses a single magnet mount, so a secure attachment point on clothing matters more here than with some competitors.

"Does it work with my camera?"

Not directly — there's no 3.5mm lavalier input or camera-friendly output on the Air SE. For camera work, the Air 02 or Ultra are better fits.

"How long does the battery actually last?"

About 6 hours with noise cancellation off, closer to 4.5 hours with it on. The charging case extends total runtime to roughly 24–28 hours across a full day of charges.

Closing question: "Since you're shooting mostly on your phone, does the Air SE's small size and app-based noise-cancellation control fit better than the larger, screen-equipped Air 02?"

Lead with pocketability and the Deep Learning noise-cancellation modes, and be upfront about the single magnet mount and shorter real-world range.
